Day Two: The Longest Day

Well, the sleeping in did not really work. We were all up and going by 8 am, and still not to the park until 10 am. And yes, we are staying in the Grand Californian, on property. Literally. Five minutes from our room to the front gate. Oh well, the slower pace keeps us from killing each other. Literally.

Grace went through the Hoecherl rites of passage today and can officially call herself a big girl. She followed up her ride on Soaring yesterday with completing the Disney Mountain range today. She got on, and enjoyed, Space Mountain, Matterhorn (this time it did NOT make her sad and angry), Splash Mountain, and Thunder Mountain. She even got a ride on Star Tours, which she loved, even though the robot driver was "a real bad driver."

We saw Fantasmic tonight, the new Dragon looked great. Jonah loves when Mickey fights that dang dragon, he spends the whole show asking me where the dragon is. We stuck around for the new Halloween Fireworks show and got back to the Hotel at about 10:30. Long day, but a good one.

It is great staying on property. Lily was struggling again, and the park was crazy busy. Megin left with Jonah and Lily and they both got a nap about halfway through the day. There is a rumor that Megin even got in a quick hour somehow. Not bad.

Easier day tomorrow. Going to California Adventure, and planning on leaving the park after the Pixar Play Parade (our favorite parade) at about 4pm. It has been a great trip so far and we are all feeling our batteries recharging already. What a great blessing this time is in our lives. We are so grateful to those here on earth who have given us chances and opportunities to have these kinds of experiences. We are even more grateful to our Heavenly Father and Savior, for their infinite wisdom and endless love that we are unworthy of in so many ways. We are grateful for our children, for each other, and for all blessings that we receive.
