One Week

Well, 2009 has come to a close. In many ways it is nice to have this year end. We have had challenges and success, but overall this was one of those "learning" years. And almost always, in the years when we look back and realize that we have learned a lot, we are always glad for the year to come to a close. We face the New Year with hope and excitement for things to come, both joys and challenges.

We are down to 7 days until we leave. One week from tonight, Megin and Joshua will be safely tucked away in the Hyatt Regency in Orlando, hours away from boarding the big boat. We are making our lists and checking them twice. We have started sending up the prayers for Dauci and Jocalyn. We are not worried about the kids surviving the week that we are gone, but we are definitely worried about Dauci and Jocalyn.

If we are short or come across as annoyed to anyone this week, we are sorry. Even having over a year to prepare we still find ourselves scrambling to get things done this week. The holidays do not help, in fact we post this entry from a hotel in Layton on our annual New Year’s Extravaganza.
