It seems like Epcot is always our longest day. Today was no exception. We were proud of ourselves, as we made it out of the house by 9:30. We even got a chance to park on row 5, no trams for us this morning. One of the great benefits of Epcot... Front row parking opportunities.
We got most of future world done today. We did Spaceship Earth, Soarin', Mission to Space, Ellen's Universe of Energy, Journey Into Imagination (where Grandad lost his sunglasses... really Grandad, on Figment?), and The Living Seas with Nemo and Friends. We made our way back the America section of the World Showcase and had some nice, healthy, bacon cheeseburgers, actually double bacon cheeseburgers. We all moved a little slower after that. WE made our way back to the front again, with the kids working on their traditional masks stopping at Italy, Germany, and China. In china we watched the acrobats, they were pretty cool, Jonah especially enjoyed them, letting us know that "they are really cool." Megin decided that she would start gathering candy, preferably chocolate, so we are getting quite a world collection to sample later in the trip. We got on the Norway ride (that is one skinny polar bear!) and The Gran Fiesta with the Three Caballerros. Yay Donald Duck!!! We watched Illuminations, loaded the kids in the strollers (yes we are using three) and made our way out. All three stroller kids were asleep by the time we got to the car. What a day!
In The Living Seas, Alex took some time to research manatees. He decided to do his never ending report for this semester on Manatees and took some time before we left to research and prepare fifteen questions for the trainer. He took initiative to approach the trainer, and asked all his questions. It is good to see him excel in the SALTA program and have his natural curiosity to morph into an intense desire to learn. What a blessing he is in our lives, he is a great kid, and we love who he is and the happiness and silliness he brings into our family.
