Day Four: Magic Kingdom

It is always a good day when you get a weather forecast that is completely wrong, especially when it leads to a next to empty park. The Weather man said it would rain all day until 2 pm, and we prepared for that. It started at about 3 am, and man did it come down hard. A good old fashioned Central Florida thunderstorm. We were on the road to the Magic Kingdom by about 9:30 and there was a slight drizzle, but no sun and were mentally preparing for ponchos all day long.
Guess what, no more rain all day!!! And that meant a very light crowd. In fact, it would be faster to list the attractions we did not get to (Country Bears, Goofy's Barnstormer, Autopia, Space Mountain, and The Laugh Floor) than it would be to list the ones we did hit. We even pulled off an amazing feat. All of Fantasyland in an hour and half, at 4:30 in the afternoon. It was a great day, and to amaze you even more, we did all of it and still took our traditional 2 hour lunch stop at the Crystal Palace.
It was a day of firsts for Jonah. He rode both Splash Mountain (there were too many hills for him) and Thunder Mountain. When we asked how he liked the latter, he said it was good. When we asked him if he wanted to go again, he said "no, I want some popcorn and Coke." So his priorities have definitely not changed.
A quick word about Tyler. What an amazing Young Man he has become. We used to say he is becoming a great kid, but he is already there. He is selfless, kind, and one heck of a great big brother. We are very proud of who he is and look forward to seeing him grow more in the months and years to come.
