Day Seven: Back to Disney - Hooray for Animal Kingdom

The more time we spend in Animal Kingdom, the more we enjoy it. It is quickly earning a place very high in our rankings. We went to the Lion King live show this morning, it is always a great high energy show. Though we did get a little concerned when one of the leads disappeared halfway through the show. It was still great and it was fun to see recognition on Gracie's face. It was Lily's first experience and though Jonah has been here before, he was only 14 months, and obviously doesn't remember it. It was made even better by the chance to get a picture with Donald Duck after the show let out, and of course, Donald is our favorite!!!
We saw the Bug's Life show, it was great as always. It is pretty cool to have it shown in the actual Tree of Life, which is of course an iconic figure in Disney World. The pathway to the show is fun, the roots and sides of the trees are "carved" with tons of cool animals from dinosaurs, to bugs, to monkeys. Jonah had a great time picking out the animals along the way.
We had lunch at the Flame Tree Bar-B-Que. For as many times as we have been to this park, we have never eaten here before. It was pretty good, a lot like the Riverbelle Terrace in the Anaheim park.
We hit the Kali River Rapids, twice. Tyler, Alex, and Gracie wanted to go again, because they did not get wet enough the first time. And of course, Josh got hit, both times, head on. Oh well, the joys of parenthood.
We ended the day with splitting our group, half going to the Safari ride, and the other going to Expedition Everest for two final rides for this trip. We got home and settled well before eight. Overall a great day!!!
