Good Ending

Well, our little excursion is coming to a close. It was nice to end on a high note. It is always good to watch Brett Favre lose, even better when he loses to the Bears, and even better when he has four turnovers against the Bears.
Soldier Field was amazing. What an incredible facility. We walked to the stadium and enjoyed Grant Park and the Field Museum as we walked. Very clean, very nice, and only a little bit of a breeze coming off the lake. The stadium itself was great. Great seats, great food, and, most importantly, great company. The rousing choruses of "Bear Down, Chicago Bears" got more and more rowdy as the game went on and the alcohol flowed freely, but overall, there were only a few incidents we saw, and the game was a lot of fun.
As we were leaving we saw a young man and his son playing their bucket drums. They had a great act and it was very well done. The son could not have been older than 4, but kept right up with his dad and had great comedic timing to go along with the musical chops. They were great.
We ventured back into the Loop for dinner and enjoyed some good Bar-B-Que food at Weber Grille Restaurant. It was good food and a nice easy atmosphere. The prep and cook line was right in the open and our table was close enough to watch and hear the cooks and chefs work together to prepare meals. It was a fun time.
Well, we are back home tomorrow and back to the grind on Tuesday. Big thanks to Dauci for helping with the kids and for everyone who made it possible for us to spend this time together and recharge our batteries a bit. It is always nice when a Bears win can erase a Utes loss out of our minds!!!
